-Erhaltung der für die südliche Steiermark landschaftsprägenden Baumart Edelkastanie
-Forcierung des Anbaues dieser Baumart als Wald- sowie als Obstgehölz
-Förderung der wirtschaftlichen Bedeutung von -Edelkastanien-Produkten aller Art
-Aufbringung, Herstellung, Austausch und Weiterleitung von Informationen und fachlichen Unterlagen / Publikationen zu oben genannten Punkten
Association´s purpose
- maintenance of the tree species castanea sativa in southern Styria
- fostering its cultivation as a multipurpose tree species
- enhancing the economic importance of chestnut products
- knowledge transfer on all above mentioned issues (i.e. production, exchange & dissemination of publications and know-how)
