Fred Conacher, Angus Council Parks

The Angus Millennium Forest enables future generations, of local people and visitors to enjoy the sights, sounds and taste of a greatly enhanced natural environment.

The forest will continue to restore native woodland cover in and around the burghs of Arbroath, Brechin, Forfar, Kirriemuir, Monifieth, Montrose and Carnoustie along with the village of Newtyle.

Not only is the forest an attractive addition to these areas, it provides an invaluable resource for nature conservation, recreation and education.

The 54 AMF woodlands, cover 83 hectares, and are an essential urban native woodland compliment to the existing 377ha of Angus Council managed woodland.
