The second formal meeting of the Bursa Province Regional Stakeholder Group will take place on 12 January 2015.

The Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs and Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University (KSU) Faculty of Forestry will organise the 3rd International Non-wood Forest Products symposium in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey.

The aim of the symposium is to discuss the sustainable management of non-wood forest products, considering ecological, aesthetical, social, cultural, and economic aspects. the event will be attended by relevant stakeholders, practitioners and international researchers. The symposium language will be in English and Turkish.

As part of the stakeholder engagement process, the first Bursa regional stakeholder workshop was held on the 20 May 2013.

Bursa is one of the 14 Regional Stakeholder Groups which wll be active in the StarTree Case Study Regions over the next 4 years.  Stakeholders in StarTree will provide valuable insights for an overview of the NWFP sector at regional and European level, and innovative approaches in the management and use of MPT and NWFP.
