The two-day conference heard presentations from around Europe and beyond on wild forest products, trade, management, regulation, innovation and more.

The international conference on Wild Forest Products in Europe takes place in Barcelona on 13–14 October.

The conference features an interesting mixture of topics portraying the multitude of wild forest products and their importance and potential. The updated programme for the conference is now available, as well as a book of abstracts. For practical info, see here.

The StarTree 8th General Assembly took place in Bangor, North Wales, on 25–27 May 2016. The agenda of this project internal meeting was focussed on the final products of the project which will include various types of publications and outreach activities.

Knowledge Exchange Events (or KEEs for short) have been an integral part of the StarTree General Assemblies. This year, a very special KEE took place in the form of an open Wild Forest Products Fair in Glynllifon. The fair included workshops and demonstrations, as well as stalls for exhibitors coming from near and far.

During the day, hundreds of people visited the fair, making in a memorable day for all. The Fair was organised in collaboration with StarTree and Llais y Goedwig.

The 8th General Assembly of the StarTree project will take place in Bangor, Wales on May 25-27. The first two days are filled with various business meeting for the whole consortium and with working meetings for smaller working groups. The discussions will focus on the results and communicating them to the various target groups. On Friday May 27, StarTree takes over the Glynllifon Park near Caernarfon with the Wild Forest Products Fair. See the programme for the Fair here.

Save the date for AGROPINE 2016! 2nd International Meeting on Mediterranean Stone Pine for Agroforestry (AGROPINE 2016) will be held in Oeiras, Portugal on May 18-20, 2016!

A Call for the Training School on "Marketing of Wild Forest Products: theory and practice" under COST Action FP1203: European NWFPs Network is now open. This Training School is going to be held in San Vito di Cadore (Belluno – Italy) on 14th -18th March 2016.  Deadline for applications is the 19th of February 2016.

StarTree will organise an international conference on Wild Forest Products in Europe on 13–14 October 2016 in Barcelona, Spain. The two-day conference will include invited keynote talks, sessions with contributed oral presentations, a poster exhibit, and a panel discussion with decision makers and stakeholder representatives.

The 7th StarTree General Assembly takes place in Hamburg, Germany from 11 - 13 November 2015.

The 6th StarTree General Assembly takes place in Joensuu, Finland from 11 - 13 May 2015.

Stakeholders from some of the case study regions and project consortium partners will meet for three days to discuss project progress and learn about NWFP in North Karelia.

The Portuguese Federation of Forest Owners Associations (UNAC) organised a stakeholder seminar " Knowledge advances in the Mediterranean pine nut value chain" on 6 March at Alcacer do Sal, the heart of pine cone processing in Portugal.

The 6th StarTree General Assembly will take place in Joensuu in North Karelia, Finland from 11 - 13 May 2015.

The meeting is organised by Consortium partners LUKE.

The second formal meeting of the North Karelia Regional Stakeholder Group will take place on the afternoon of the 24 February 2015 in Joensuu.

The second formal meeting of the West Wales and the Valleys Regional Stakeholder Group will take place on 23 January 2015.
