My relationship with forests is like an agrosilvopastoral system: diverse and multifunctional. Forests are the link between my line of work (modelling and management research) and my personal desire of contributing to rural development.
My favourite NWFP is cork. Cork is the perfect link between the most generous and strong tree I know (Quercus suber), the Alentejo montado ecosystem, and the sustainability of the life of the wonderful people that populate that beautiful region.
In StarTree I am a Researcher for the Portuguese case study of Alentejo, mainly in WP2.
